Drax Power Station

Tom McNiven was invited to Drax Power Ltd at my request to discuss safer & more efficient ways of changing conveyor rollers. The brief was to develop a system that was quicker, faster & above all do the job safely.



The equipment also had to be as light & portable as possible. After several visits to site to discuss our particular situation & test the equipment, we now have an air bag system better than first imagined, our maintenance team are totally convinced the system we now have is brilliant. I have now applied for funding to increase the number & variety of shape & size of air bag to cover all our conveying equipment on site. Other maintenance areas are investigating possible use of air bags from Tom.
